The End of Week 4
Hi guys! :)
I am sorry I went MIA. I really battled with myself whether I wanted to continue to share so much of my personal life. I went back and forth however, after this past week I decided I really wanted to start posting again...
Well the first four weeks have gone by faster than I ever thought possible! So far out of the 150 cadets 9 people are gone, so we are down to 141. C is doing very well. He passed his first driving test and has passed all written exams thus far. Let's go back to week 1 which was paper work all week. So really nothing exciting. lol week 2 went by fast because of the Forth of July, although the cadets did not have the day off, they did get there liberty days switched from Wednesday to Tuesday so they were able to leave the grounds for a bit. Week two C received his first memo, which he wasn't too happy about. It took him all night to get it precise and finish it. That evening 6 cadets forgot to sign in from liberty so they were woken up around midnight to get accountability of everyone. The next day C became a Marshmallow! lol I make fun of him all the time for it! lol So after the day was over he started making his shirts. However, C is not on the training table, thankfully lol. The Monday of week 3 started with a test which was on the rules and regulation. Which also means gigs can start being handed out. C got a 92% on the test so he was happy. The next day they had the fountain memorial ceremony, apparently they were the first junior class after 2 weeks in however long or first time ever to be able to march in and participate in the ceremony. So everyone was pretty excited about that. They also started EVOC. Week 4 they continued EVOC and also went back into the classroom to learn more knowledge.
Overall the journey has been so-so. I am super proud of C and all that he is accomplishing, but I just miss him so much. On the other hand C has called me every single day, we talk on the phone at minimum an hour, thankfully! He also sends me a good morning text everyday :) However, it is still so lonely being in a house by yourself 24/7. Like I mentioned previously, I am currently not working, so I am literally home all day by myself going crazy! lol Work starts back up in a few weeks so I am so ready for that! Last week has certainly been the toughest, that's why I decided to start writing again. I felt more lonely than ever and actually cried when C left which, I had never done before. Hopefully continuing to write on the blog will give me an outlet for how I feel and subside my loneliness. Other than that life has been great! C is doing awesome and he has been able to come home every weekend which has been amazing! My puppy is growing fast and learning so much so quickly. School is going good and this time next year I will officially finish my BA degree! :)
